But the tools to manage all of it were only ever built for the giants: six-figure enterprise platforms, months-long implementations, and teams of specialists to run them.

Everyone else — the small and very small generators who make up the vast majority of facilities — was left with a whiteboard, a three-ring binder, and a spreadsheet that someone has to remember to update. It works until it doesn't. And when it doesn't, the penalties are the same ones the giants face: up to $93,058 per violation, per day.

We've seen this from both sides

enviro.lytics was built by people who've worked both ends of the hazardous waste world — the hauler and disposal side, and the generator and contractor side.

We've watched facilities get cited for things they were actually managing fine — they just couldn't prove it on the spot. We've seen determinations made correctly, then lost when an employee left. We've seen good operators fall out of compliance not because they didn't care, but because the system for staying compliant was held together by memory and paper.

That two-sided view is the whole reason this exists. We understood the generator's obligations and the hauler's side of the manifest — so we could build something that closes the gap between them, instead of just tracking one half of it.

Small facilities deserve enterprise-grade tools

The difference between a compliant facility and a cited one shouldn't come down to who could afford a five-figure platform. The same automation the giants use should be within reach of a single-facility generator.

The software should do the work — not just track it

A clock that tells you you're already late isn't enough. The platform should classify the waste, prep the manifest, file it, and assemble the audit package — so compliance is something that happens, not another item on your to-do list.
